Number of features and good performance lose their sheen if the program interface
is not intuitive and easy to use. A wizard comes in handy for users confronting a data recovery program for the first time, even if they are advanced users. This spares users the effort of navigating through complex menus. It's also
important that once the drive on which the file existed is completely scanned, the user should be allowed to whittle down the field with search options or filters, and display information on the files listed, with preview options that range from thumbnail to hex viewers and header information displays. Help should be available for those who need it, either in the form of a user manual, or context help file. Lastly, additional perks, such as restoring e-mails, and secure deletion were also noted.
