Even though your files have been restored, there are some hiccups. For instance,
a couple of images don't read properly, and a few video files are corrupted. But don't lose heart since there is a way to fix this. Here are a couple of specialized applications that can restore your corrupted files.

As far as images are concerned, PC Inspector smart recovery. The tool to turn to, since it not only recovers conventional formats like JPEG and GIF, but also tracks down proprietary file types like DCR, NEF or ORF from manufacturers like Sony, Nikon or Olympus.

When a digital camera is connected, the program automatically reads all the files from the storage media that appears as a drive in My Computer. It follows the same procedure when dealing with files stored on external hard disks, USB sticks or SD cards. Simply select the appropriate drive from the drop-down menu, and then specify the file format. In case of a JPEG file format, the application also displays a thumbnail preview. Next, specify the path to the storage location, and click 'Start' to activate the recovery process. VirtualDub can run corrupted and damaged viqeo files. Just add the file from 'Edit . A specialty of this tool is that it supports clips that terminate during playback, or films which the player does not run. Unfortunately, DivFix++ only repairs files in the DivX format.

To repair a particular file, select the target directory by clicking on the top left folder, search for the film in 'Add Files', and repair the video with 'Rebuild Index'. Object Fix Zip repairs defective ZIP archives. A wizard guides the user through the four steps of the repair process. The tool not only repairs the files, but also unzips the content directly.
