The function still exists, but for some unknown reason, Microsoft has hidden it well! To reactivate it, click the round Office button at the top left corner in Word, and then click 'Word Options'. In the dialog box choose 'Customize', and then from the 'Choose commands from:' drop down menu select 'All Commands'. Scroll to the command 'Send to Microsoft Power Point' and click 'Add'. Make sure that 'For all documents' is selected otherwise you will only be able to use the function for the document that is open. Click 'OK' to close the dialog box. You can now use the quick access bar to send the current document to Power Point
