It looks like there are a lot of smart folks on this board so someone may be able to answer my quiry.
I d'load a bunch of .rar files daily. No problen utill a week or so ago. I am getting an amazing number of files that have bad crsc or are corrupt. I have even downloaded the same file a bunch of times w/o any luck (but sometimes I do) while other have no problems..I think I am having a file failure rate about 80%.
I d'load through via rapidshare.
the line seems to be ok..I have absolutely no problems with anything else I am doing on the net including sending large picture files up to a 'net repository. As you probally tell, this is driving me nutz.
the dl mgr I use is IDM (I own it) and my system is vista.
Is there anyway to turn off the crc check in winrar to actually see if the darn'ed file is bad.
Is there another extractor that I can do this ? I am tired of deliting 700+ mg filrs..
I should also mention that it also happens with music..there is usually one song that is bad..
