    Default Adjusting the application settings

    The next step to use the application effectively is to tune up the settings to suit your requirements. To adjust the software setting, follow the steps as given below:

    1. Double-click the "Yankee Clipper X" icon appearing in the status bar.

    2. Go to "Edit I Configuration".

    3. Check all options except "Text Only Mode".

    4. Next, check on the "Enable Sorting" option.

    5. Select the "Insert new clipping in sorted order" .

    6. Click the "Advanced Options" button.

    7. Set the date and time patterns as per your requirements.

    8. Check the "Use "smart" char stripping" appearing under "Character Stripping" section.

    You can select char;acters to strip from your copied data. Justuncheck "Use "smart" char stripping", and select a ESlaracter from the "Use this character" drop-down list.

    Date and time values are displayed on the clipboard. nexttothe . description, to maintain history of copied items effectively.

    9. Once on the "Advanced Options" section of the "Configuration" dialog box, click the "Import YC3 .

    10. In the "Select Directory" dialog box, browse for the "YCIII" folder.

    11. Click "OK" to continue.

    12. Check all the collections appearing in the "Collection Name" panel of the "YCX Migration Wizard" window.

    13. Click the "Import YC3"

    14. Click "Close" to proceed.

    Here we are setting useful keyboard shortcuts to use Yankee Clipper more effectively.

    15. Click the "Hot Keys" button.

    16. Set the required shortcuts using the keyboard under the "Hot Key Settings" options.

    17. Click the "Hot Keys" button.

    18. Click the "Repository Settings" button.

    19. Set the clipping values under the "Nuniber of Clippings" section

    20. Under the "Repository Size Watch" section, Check the "Enable Repository Watch"

    21. Set the "Display alert if any of my repositories exceeds:" value to "100 MB"

    22. Click "OK" and restart the software for changes to take effect.
