You can also verify with the DrWtsn32 log (by using the drwtsn32 from the command line exclusive of parameter which will show that where the log is been located).
Normally, a "user process" (e.g. this service) can never fail the operating system. Might be you must also verify with the file W32time.dll in your computer.
I too have this error. It directly shuts down my computer at a specified time every day. I then have to do a full system reset every morning. It's getting very pretty annoying. I fixed it by disabling the web synchronization (which was the error that I was receiving), but it's started happening stating that

The time service has not been able to synchronize the system time for 49152 seconds because none of the time providers has been able to provide a usable time stamp. The system clock is unsynchronized.
I have also synchronized the clock physically, and hoping that it will fix my problem.
