Setting up desktop calendar

Now that the evaluation version of the application is installed on your system, it can be altered to suit your needs. You can also change the appearance of the calendar using some simple tools.

We will first learn how to mark events on particular days. For instance, if you have to mark a friend's birthday on the 23rd of the current month, then here's how to go about it. Double-click the 23rd of the current month on the calendar.

This will open up a maximized view of the current month. The date that you had clicked on will appear in yellow. Double click the square.

Select the 'Start' date and the 'End' date. To set just one day as part of
the event, add the same values to both the boxes.

Select attributes to make your note elaborate. You can edit the 'Text color', the 'Subject' and also select an icon by selecting the 'Attach icon' checkbox.

To set an alarm, click the 'Enable Alarm' checkbox and enter the time and date of the alarm.

Click 'Save'.

The event will be marked on the calendar and will be displayed along the right column of the screen.

To change the color of the desktop calendar icons, right-click the icon on the taskbar that bears the current date and click 'Settings'.

Click the 'Calendar Text/ Icons' tab. Select the 'Font' and 'Color' of the calendar items.

To change individual date items click 'Change' under the 'Icon Options' section in the same dialog box.

Click 'OK' to save the changes.
