Thread: Parallel operation without logging in anew

Except for Outlook, different versions, for example 2003 and 2007, of all Office programs can run simultaneously on a computer. What is annoying is that as soon as you switch versions, you have to log in again. This is irritating and takes a lot of time.

You can prevent this by making changes in the registry. For this, open the registry editor with 'Start I Run', 'regedit' and 'OK' and navigate to the 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Options' key for version 2003. Now create the new entry 'NoRereg' in the right side of the window with 'Edit I New I DWORD value'. Finally, double click to open and set its 'Value' to '1' in the 'Edit String' dialog. Close the dialog by clicking 'OK'. Repeat the process for Word 2007 but navigate to the '12.0' instead of '11.0' subkey.

Note:
Generally, the behavior described here is seen only with Word. However, you can use the described process to prevent any need for re-logging in in all Office programs.
