From the XP version, the start folder can be customized. For this, open 'Tools I Options' and switch to the 'Other' tab. Click 'Advanced Options' here. The next dialog shows the currently set folder in 'Startup in this folder'. To customize this, click the 'Browse' button next to it. Select the desired folder in the structure, for example 'Calendar', and confirm the selection with 'OK'. The new settings will be applicable only after a system restart.
In older Outlook versions, this modification of the start page is only possible with the help of a command line parameter. For this, right-click on the shortcut and select 'Properties' from the context menu. Switch to the 'Shortcut' tab and click in the 'Target' field. Position the cursor at the end of the line and replace the entry with a space and '/ select Outlook: Calendar' (Without quotes). Confirm the setting by clicking on 'Apply' and 'OK'.
