Anti-spam and anti-virus components function in Outlook or Outlook Express, though they cannot be configured.

The problem can be solved by registering the responsible DLL components again. You need administrator rights for that. In Vista, you can login to the system and open the command prompt with administrator rights. The email program should not be started. For the anti-virus components in Outlook Express or Windows Mail, use the following commands:
regsvr32 -u C:\Program Files\ Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 2009\kloehk. dll'
regsvr32 C:\Program Files\ Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 2009\kloehk. dll
The only difference between the two commands is the option 'u'. In the first command, the registration is deleted, which is entered again without this option. Similarly, you can also re-integrate the responsible library files for Outlook. We have given only the first command. Repeat the command without the option "u".
regsvr32 -u C:\Program Files\ Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 2009\mcou. dll
Should the access to the anti-spam components not work, you can repair these too following the same principle. For that, use the following command for the components in Outlook Express: regsvr32 -u C:\Program Files\ Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 2009\oeas. dll
Finally, you can remove the DLL- file for anti-spam in Outlook with the following command and register again: regsvr32 -u C:\Program Files\ Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 2009\mcouas. dll
