Thread: Problem with Anti-Virus

I am using a self-assembled PC. The configuration is as follows. Intel Pentium 4, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB hard disk, Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit and McAfee antivirus. McAfee shows a message saying that my computer is not protected fully and also when I click to 'check my protection status' it does not open. What should I do?

Firstly make sure that the copies of Windows and McAfee you are using are legal. If they are, you should be able to download the latest updates for both Windows and the antivirus software. If after updating the system you are still facing the same problem, check if your system is not already infected with a virus. For this, try downloading free antivirus (such as AVG or Avast) and antispyware software (such as Lavasoft AdAware) and scan your computer to confirm this. If you are still facing a problem, try uninstalling McAfee and reinstalling it again. Else you may need to reinstall your operating system and check it finally.
