STEP 1
DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING
1.Downloading seamonkey setup
2.Click the 'Download Now' link.
3.Select an appropriate location to save the setup file.
4.Once done, execute the setup file and click 'Next' to proceed.
5.Click 'Accept'.
6.Select 'Complete' to install all features of the application.
7.Click 'Next' and then 'Install'.
8.Click 'Finish' to complete the installation.
STEP 2
CONFIGURING THE MAIL CLIENT
1.Run SeaMonkey and select the 'Mail and Newsgroups' option from the 'Window' menu.
2.Click the 'Create a new account' link.
3.Select the .Email Account' radio button and click 'Next'.
4.In the resulting window, enter your name and email address in the text boxes respectively.
5.Click 'Next' to proceed.
NOTE: In this example, we shall add a Gmail account.
6.On the next screen select 'POP', type in 'pop.gmail. com' and click 'Next'.
7.Type in a user name in the 'Incoming User Name' text box and account name in the resulting windows.
8.Click 'Next' to proceed.
9.You will now be able to view your account information.
10.Select the 'Download messages now' checkbox and click 'Finish'.
STEP 3
ADDING MESSAGE FILTERS
1.From the 'Tools' menu, select 'Message filters'.
2.Add a name for the filter the in 'Filter name' text box.
3.Select the 'Match any of the following' radio button. You can now create filters and delete mails which contain specific words automatically.
4.In the same way, you can set search options to search for a message containing specific words.
5.Select the 'Search Message' option from the 'Tools'menu.
6.Select a mail account from the 'Search for messages in' drop-down list.
7.Set appropriate options and click 'Search'.
STEP 4
IMPORTING EMAIL ACCOUNTS
1.From the 'Tools' menu, select 'Import'.
2.To import settings from another email client, select the 'Mail' radio button.
3.Click 'Next' to proceed.
4.Select the appropriate mail client from the list.
5.Click 'Next' to proceed.
6.Browse for the 'settings' file. SeaMonkey will now import all settings from the mail client specified.
7.In the same way you can import the address book and settings from another mail client too.
STEP 5
CREATING PROFILES
1.From the 'Tools' menu, select the 'Switch profile' option.
2.Make sure the 'Don't ask at startup' checkbox is cleared so as to enable profile switching during startup.
3.Click the Manage profiles button.
4.Click the 'Create profile' button and click 'Next'.
5.Enter an appropriate user name in the 'Enter new profile name' text box.
6.Click the 'Choose folder' button.
7.Browse for the folder which contains profile settings and click 'Finish'.
