LAUNCH YOUR WEB BROWSER and type http://pack.google (make sure there's no 'www')into the Address or Location bar at the top. Choose the appropriate region from the dropdown menu and carefully remove all the ticks from those products that don't need to be downloaded until the only one with a tick next to it is Google Photos Screensaver. Remove the ticks from the other two settings below the product download list, then click the large Download Google Pack button.
READ THE LICENCE AGREEMENT, click Agree and Download, then select Run, and Run again at the next two dialogue boxes to install Photos Screensaver. Close the box when everything has finished downloading and click Start, All Programs, Google Photos Screens aver, then choose the Configure option. When the dialogue box opens, click the Settings button. It's now possible to tell the screensaver to load photos from the web or to select Picasa (if it's installed) or a folder on the Pc.
LEAVE THE SETTINGS AS they are and click OK. Back at the previous dialogue box, click the Preview button and Photos Screensaver will swing into action. It gets photos from Google's Picasa Web Albums service (so the PC needs to be connected to the internet) and displays them in a soothing pan-and-zoom slideshow. Move the mouse to reveal the controls shown here and click the Settings button to change the slideshow transitions or to add other photo sources.
