Most of the apps aimed at weeding out duplicate files simply search for files with the same name but Fast Duplicate File Finder is different in the sense that it scans and compares the content of files to find duplicates even if the files have different names handy in saving disk space.

It can be configured to search for duplicate files in specific folders, drives, or the entire system including removable media - USB drives, diskettes etc. Image, video, music, text and binary files can be previewed to check the contents.

Duplicate files found can be disposed in multiple ways - moved to Recycle Bin, custom folder or deleted permanently. It even has an option to schedule scanning during computer idle time.
