Click Editing to bring up a time line (Project). You can drag clips into your Project from' the library above, then arrange and combine them into a finished movie. Use the buttons beneath the preview window or the keys J, K and L to play, pause or stop a Clip. You can also overlay video here.

You'll probably find it helpful to trim the ends of some clips and to delete others. Select the clip you want to edit in your Project and mark the section you wish to remove with the crossbar. Press S to split the clip at the current point. Pressing Del will remove the section you do not wish to use.

To add effects, select the Cut tab. Right-click in the library pane, then choose Load and add the effects you want. Now drag effects into your Project, where they will appear as a new track. Drag the ends of a track to alter the start and end point of an effect. Buttons below can also toggle the effect on and off.

Once you've finished editing your movie, it will need to be rendered before being saved in an appropriate file format. Click the small camera icon in the lower right hand corner and, from the dialog box that is displayed, choose a format for your movie. You can then save the final output or burn it to disc.
