    Default Good free partition software?

Anyone suggest some free software that a newbie can use to make partitions? I've tried SwissKnife but it won't let me use any of the basic commands (the create button won't let me press it, and the slider for choose space distribution won't let me change it). And all other software I've tried is Demo version only, meaning it doesn't do.
So, can anyone suggest a programmed? Time limited shareware would be fine if it let me make a partition or two previous to the duration ran out.

    Thanks

You can use an Ubuntu live cd to boot and then once inside Linux you can use a program called gparted to make partitions even on a hard drive that has windows installed, but make sure to defragment it first.

I google partition manager find some freeware bellow:

    paragon & easeus partition manager

It worked OK, but failed when I tried to merge partition. So i have to allocated the free space to another partition. Partition magic may merge two partitions.

you can use magic server partition manager-partition wizard to merge partition:
Step one: Select partition you like to expand from the partition list. This partition will be expanded to include all content from the adjacent partition which will be selected in the second step.
Step two: Select an adjacent partition that will be merged to the previous partition. All data of this partition will be merged to the expanding partition that selected in the first step.

Step three: Choose a name for the new folder.

    • The drive E will be expanded to 139.54 GB. And the data of drive F will be stored to the e:\merged_partition_content.
