The simple interface of the Abit ~Guru (www.abit.nl) tool that accompanies
all Abit motherboards is not particularly good-looking; nonetheless the program provides full access to all important system settings. You can fiddle with
clock frequencies as well as fan control and voltages. Here, Abit lives up to its reputation as a manufacturer of extremely tweakable motherboards. However, spend a little time and effort to make sure the tool works optimally: Under the Settings button in Abit EO, activate the monitoring of all temperatures, voltages and fan speeds-to keep yourself informed. Switch on the automatic fan control under "Fan EO" and you'll hear the noise level suddenly drop. You get the best results after clicking the Optimize button. All fans are adjusted to their optimum settings.

Ready-made overclocking profiles are available in Abit ~Guru. With the "Turbo" setting, our test PC could deliver a good twelve percent more in PCMark Vantage, an increase of over 400 points. The system did not allow us to set even higher parameters-those who know their PCs inside out can however even define their own profiles under OC Guru.
