    Smile Gigabyte EasyTune 5 Pro

TESTED VERSION: B7.11 01.1. CONFIGURATION: Intel Core 2 Duo E6700, Gigabyte P35T-D06 (Intel P35). 2 GB You can get amazing results with EasyTune 5 Pro simply by turning the regulator.

RAM, Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS PCMARK VANTAGE: 4,056 points (earlier 3,332)
Unlike its competitors, Gigabyte's tuning program EasyTune 5 Pro that is designed to look like a Formula 1 steering wheel has all its important settings right on the main interface. Gigabyte motherboards only come with the simple EasyTune software; the "Pro" version is available for download from their website. EasyTune can regulate all clock frequencies individually-i.e. the front side bus, PCI, PCle and AGP buses as well as all voltages. But be careful, our tests have revealed that while the system does switch off in case of extremely high settings, the CPU clock is also automatically adjusted downward in order to prevent damage-unlike with other tools, your PC can suddenly become considerably slower than usual.

Therefore, the best choice is the creatively named "CIA" (CPU Intelligent Accelerator) that is located on the right side of the steering wheel. The system clocks and voltages are optimized automatically depending on the current load. We managed to obtain 12 percent more performance in the" Full Thrust" setting. We got results even with the incremental overclocking options in Easy mode-even if the regulator promises more by setting it to "20 percent", PCMark Vantage won't score more than 10 percent higher than at stock settings.

If the overclocking features have been tuned optimally, the last step is to adjust the fan speed using "Smart Fan". You can keep the speed low to reduce noise, as long as the CPU temperate remains below 65 degrees Celsius.
