Default Transferring client data onto the iPod in Microsoft Outlook

Practical: The iPod can also manage contacts. But how does one transfer the data from the address management in Outlook on to the portable media player as easily as possible?

First open 'Outlook'. Then close the iPod on your computer and make sure that 'iTunes 8' has started. Now, on the left, click under 'DEVICES' on the iPod and go right to the 'Contacts' tab. Next, activate the option 'Synchronize contacts from' and select the setting 'Microsoft Outlook' in the adjacent combination field. Further, activate the option 'Synchronize Microsoft Outlook Calendar'. Then you have the option to set the 'Selected Calendar' and make a selection in the list below that. Finally, click on 'Apply' and wait for the process. Note: Sometimes, the music program suddenly announces that no further calendar can be synchronized. If you have not saved any new or additional data on the iPod, use the option 'Remove calendar' and then repeat the step. Otherwise, you must secure the data on the iPod in advance.
