Automatic log-ins are convenient-if they work. However, banking websites and others like that prevent Firefox from saving passwords at times.
Some websites prevent automatic logins on purpose, to prevent phishing or Cross-Site Scripting attacks. You can bypass these blocks in some cases.
Attention: Take this step only if you have guaranteed security by means of the add-on Secure Login, and be especially careful for of banking and SSL encrypted data transfer via https. The block is often controlled through the set attribute 'autocomplete=off' in the login form of the website. With a JavaScript, it can be changed. For that, first open the website. Then right-click on the button 'remember password' and select the command 'Add bookmark for this link'. If later, on a login page, the option to save the password does not appear, open the site, and then click on the previously created 'remember password' bookmark. This will not open a new page, but run the saved JavaScript. Then enter your login data in the website. Firefox again offers the usual saving process. If however the website is using a different blocking method from 'autocomplete=off', then this script is of no use.
