You might have created a word document which has a lot of color images and may not wish to print them especially if you have run out of color toner. You can avoid printing color images by tweaking a few basic settings. To do so, carry out the follOWing steps:

Open the document to be printed.

Click on the 'Office button'.

Select the 'Word Options' button appearing at the foot of the drop-down list.

Click the 'Display' tab from the left-side panel of the 'Word Options' dialog box.

Uncheck the 'Print drawings created in Word' option appearing under the 'Printing options' section.

Click 'OK' to close the dialog box and proceed with the printing.
