AOL'S NEW XDRIVE Desktop Lite application makes accessing your Xdrive online data-storage account even easier. The app, still in beta, has some useful features¬such as the ability to pre¬view media files-but it can be confusing to use.
An Xdrive account with 5GB of storage is free (a 500GB account costs $10 -(approx Rs. 400 a month). Previously, you could access your storage space via a browser or through the Xdrive Desktop utility, which assigns a drive letter to your virtual Xdrive in Win¬dows Explorer. Lite uses the Adobe AIR platform, which allows Web-based apps to run outside a browser.
The Lite interface looks similar to that of Windows Explorer. To move files to your Xdrive, you can drag and drop from Windows Explorer or your desktop into the Xdrive folder in the Lite program window, or from the hard-drive section in Lite to the Xdrive section.
The app lets you preview music and videos in a built¬in player, and you can also use the program to share files. However, the sharing tabs-E-mail Share, Embed Code, and Share Status-You need to charge the power pack itself before you can charge devices from it. Akin to a reserve can of fuel which you can use when your tank gets empty. Of course, you need to first fill up the can. This can be done in two ways, via regular USB cable from a PC or through an AC charger. The power THIS SLEEK AND light weight Power Pack from APe can be carried with ease to power up USB-chargeable devices in an emergency. pack takes about three-and a half hours to charge. Once charged, it is rated for a capacity of 10 Wattfhour.
In real world terms, we were able to fully charge a drained LG Viewty (KU 990)
lack any explanation and can be baffiing to figure out. Right now, the easier-to use Desktop utility is more appealing. But upcoming features, such as automatic syncing, will improve Lite.
