Thread: Permanently preventing link advertisement in texts in Flrefox 2.x, 3.x

On some websites, some terms in texts appear with an underline. If you touch these with the cursor, you will notice a pop-up window with explanations. Unfortunately, this function is misused for displaying annoying advertisements, which also cover up the text under it.

To switch off IntelliText advertisement, you have many options. If you already use the ad filter Adblock plus, then this ad form shouid be blocked already. For that, the filter regel '.intellitxt.' is responsible.In case the filter does not work, you can add it yourself. For this purpose, select 'Tools/Adblock Plus/Settings', click on 'Filter/Add Filter' and enter the rule '.intellitxt.' in the displayed input field. Confirm your changes one after the other with 'Apply' and 'OK'.
