IF you have documented reports that follow multiple text styles throughout various sections and these are a part of a standard template, then it is advisable to keep a separate file containing a list of these styles preserved for future reference. You can do this quite easily. If you are using MS Word 2003, carry out the following steps:

Open the document containing the text styles.

Go to the 'File I Print .. .' menu, command.

Select the required printer under the 'Printer' section of the 'Print' dialog box.

Select the 'Styles' option from the 'Print what:' drop down list appearing at the base of the dialog box.

Click 'OK' to print the document. If you are using MS Word 2007, carry out the following steps:

Open the document containing the text styles.

Click the 'Office Button' and click the 'Print' option from the drop¬down list.

Select the required printer under the 'Printer' section of the 'Print' dialog box.

Select the 'Styles' option from the 'Print what:' drop down list appearing at the base of the dialog box.

Click 'OK' to print the document.

Although the document doesn't tell you specifically in which part of the document the style appears, it tells you the type of style used for a particular text block (Title, list, default, table, etc.) as a list of bulleted paragraphs. This will provide you with the values appearing in the text style that you can use directly.
