INTERNET Explorer 8 has added several new features that have helped to overcome the shortcomings of previous versions of the browser as well as those that have improved the functionality of the browser on a whole. One such feature allows users to print web pages without any images.
This can be helpful if the images in the webpage aren't of much relevance and do not require to appear in the print out. It also helps save paper and ink while printing. Here's how to go about this process.
~ Launch 'Internet Explorer 8'.
~ Browse till you find the page that you would like to print, minus the images on it.
~ Press the [F12] key.
~ A new window will open up on pressing the key. Select 'Images' from the menu and then click 'Disable Images'. If you do not want to print the images, but instead want to display just the descriptions of the images present, in the locations then simply click 'View Alt text' under 'Images'. This will display some descriptive text that is present in place of the images.
Not printing images can also increase the pace of the print process. However, the greatest advantage of disabling image printing is that it saves ample amount of printer ink.
