PowerPoint has a choice to save presentation as a slide show if you want to be able to show your presentation without actually having to open it in PowerPoint and then going to slideshow choice in program. This is useful if you are e-mailing your presentation and just want recipient enable to double tick the file and watch the show.
For this you want to do is having presentation open and go to File and Save As. In Save as type drop down box you can choose PowerPoint Show (*.pps). This will save file with .pps extension which assigns it as a PowerPoint slide show. It will not overwrite original .ppt file. You can also open .pps files in PowerPoint to do modifications.
The end user can just double click .pps file and begin slide show assuming they have PowerPoint installed. If you don’t have PowerPoint you can download and install it.
