When you open more than one Excel workbook at a time you notice that you only have one listing for Excel on taskbar. Then you have to click that listing and wish that workbook is active or go to Window and select the open workbook you would like to use. There is a choice in Excel to show all of your open workbooks separately on taskbar similar to shown below.
You want to go to Tools, Options and View tab. Check the box that says Windows in Taskbar and then tick Ok.
