This error can be caused by many things:
• Microsoft Office shared Proofing Tools are not installed.
• The placing spot is not in the body of message when you do spell check.
• The spell checking aspects are not organized appropriately.
Attempt steps given below to repair this problem:
1. In Tools menu, Options. On spelling tab, ensure Always advice substitutes for wrongly spelled words and always check spelling before sending are both checked.
2. If General Options are not accessible on spelling tab, then you want to add the feature.
3. Go to Add/Remove Programs. Tick to select Microsoft Office 2000 or Microsoft Outlook 2000, whichever is displayed and then tick Add/Remove.
4. Go to Office Tools, and then to Proofing Tools, and lastly Spelling Checker. Ensure it is set to run from My Computer. If it is previously set that method tick to select Spelling Checker, and then click Update Now to reinstall it.
5. After installation procedure is finished, restart PC. Open Outlook and in a new e-mail message type a misspelled word. Then, try to send message to decide if spell checker works.
You can obtain similar error if no Custom Dictionary is defined. To choose a custom dictionary performs the steps given below:
1. Start Microsoft Word, tick Tools and then Options.
2. Click Spelling and Grammar tab and then tick Dictionaries.
3. Ensure that a check is place beside file Custom.dic. Click Ok three times.
4. If there is no custom dictionary, tick on Add and in Add Custom Dictionary, and type a name for new dictionary in File name box, and click Ok. Go on with step three to apply the new custom dictionary.
