When deleting Microsoft Office software you would generally use Add/Remove Programs aspect in Control Panel. This works well many times but there will be cases where all programs information is not deleted from PC. This may cause problem when attempting to reinstall or upgrade Office on PC.

If you are upgrading in stages to Office 2003, you can utilize wizard to remove before installed versions of particular applications you select to upgrade.

Office Removal Wizard can identify and eliminate Office 95, Office 97, Office 2000, and Office XP, with Microsoft Office Multilingual User Interface Packs and separate Office applications. If you are concerned about security of documents when using wizard then do not concern as tool only deletes Office parts and not documents.

If you have Microsoft Office 2003 Resource Kit installed then Office Removal Wizard will be integrated with it and must be installed on PC. If not then you can download and install it on PC. Resource Kit will have other useful tools also.

To find tool, click the Start, Programs, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office Tools, Microsoft Office Resource Kit, and then tick Removal Wizard.
