Ubuntu is an open-source, liberally circulated operating system based on Linux developed by Canonical Ltd. Ubuntu's earliest release was on 20th of October, 2004 as a branch of the Debian GNU/Linux project. Ubuntu fluctuate from its Linux roots as of 1) its stress on usability, 2) usual releases every 6 months, and 3) no difficulty while installation. These three factors build the Ubuntu operating system far more interesting to typical users over additional Linux distributions. Ubuntu can be installed on desktop PCs, laptops, servers, 64-bit systems, as well as Mac computers. The latest release is, edition 9.04, is nicknamed "Jaunty Jackalope," and was being launched on 20th of April, 2009.
