Media Composer is a non-linear editing system. It is the flagship creation of Avid Technology. It was formally revealed in 1989 on the Macintosh II as an offline editing arrangement. At present Avid let’s film editing, uncompressed standard definition (SD) video along with high definition (HD) editing as well as finishing. Ever since the early 1990s, Media Composer has been the leading non-linear editing system in the film as well as television industry on foremost Mac and after that also on Windows. Avid's major contestant is Final Cut Pro but in the high end of the market, Avid's market share has not been clearly exaggerated, and is still used in nearly all foremost movie productions.
