Good typing skills come with accuracy and speed, and Typing Master Pro 7 enhances both areas and engages users with its meticulously designed lessons that are meant for beginners and advanced users.

The most striking feature of Typing Master Pro is that. as you take various lessons for touch typing, it identifies the problematic areas that need special attention and helps you improvise by offering custom exercises. Also, when you use external programs that require typing such as Microsoft Word or any word processor, a utility called Satellite monitors your typing style and pin-points problematic keys and punctuations.

Initially, the tutor'starts with a touch-typing course where you learn the position of the keys and so on. As you move on, comes the words and then sentences, gradually increasing the level of difficulty. The overall user-interface is very simple and completely graphical.

The Review section in the main menu shows results and points out the areas that need improvement. The Typing Test section presents users with various paragraphs of text. Each paragraph contains a combination of case sensitive alphabets, punctuations, numbers, symbols and such. Users are judged on the basis of the time taken and the accuracy of typing the passage correctly. Even the games section,is interesting to use. The Statistics show a graphic representation of your progress, after which you can choose relevant lessons for improvement.

Finally, there's a useful tool called QuickPhrase which helps users to fill out pre-typed text such as postal and email address. It resides at the system tray and can be called for when required. Overall, the program is quite utilitarian for the price of Rs 1,920. The Typing Master Pro 7 Lite costs about Rs 1,440, but it lacks the Satellite and QuickPhrase features.
