Unlike the previous versions, the fifth version of X-oom Movie Clone has been built right from scratch. The developers have completely revised the user interface and thrown in additional features. Movie Clone 5 not only copies video DVDs, but also offers a video transcoding tool. This software flawlessly processes video clips for several portable media players that include iPod, iPhone, Sony PSP and PlayStation 3. In addition, it's possible to download videos from YouTube and convert them for any media player or to a specified format.

Movie Clone 5 presents a slick user interface. You specify the source in the left pane and the target video format or destination in the right pane. The source can be YouTube video links, audio CD as well as a folder on your PC containing audio or video files. After specifying the source you've got to select the device for which you want to convert them. You can select the appropriate device, disc formats (Video DVD, audio CD and Blu-ray Video), cellphone or the target video format from the tabs above the pane. You cannot customize video formats for iPod, iPhone and Sony PSP but you can specify the video resolution for the cellphone profile. The only profile which offers maximum flexibility is the one for transcoding videos for the Pc. Here it's possible to choose the video container and specify the audio and video bit rate and frame rate.
