Font pitch, or how many characters fit in one inch, can be selected along with the preferred type, like Arial, Calibri, and Courier New. It is an important thought to make your document look as neat and simple to read as possible.

The widths of a 12-pitch font find out the space between every character, which would be less than that of a 10-pitch font, for example. So, a document using 12-pitch font would start fewer pages.
