Thread: Installing VLC on PC silently

I use VLC player and I want to know how to obtain complete installation of VLC when using /S switch. I didn’t have any idea about Silent Installation of VLC player. So please provide me some suggestions about Silent Installation of the VLC player. Any help will be appreciated.

For Silent and complete Installation of VLC follow the steps given below:

• Download and install nsis. It allows you recompile installation program.

• Download and extract VLC Windows Zip package.

• Open vlc.win32.nsi file with Notepad and enter version on line7.

• Modify line 23 so that file name utilizes right version variable: ${PRODUCT_VERSION} instead of ${VERSION}.

• Element list starts at line 324. Every element appears as "Section "Component Name" SEC0#. If '/o' is opposite to element name, it won’t be chosen by default. Delete '/o' to have it be chosen. Deleting it from Mozilla Plug-in and Context Menu elements turns it into complete install

• From command prompt, run
