Thread: Adobe Reader Errors While Installing it on Vista

Hi. I have installed vista in my PC. I am trying to install Adobe Reader but it will give me error. I tried different method but none of them worked out. Any idea would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advanced,

Allow User Account Control (UAC) since require of UAC on the system has caused the application's installation parameters to fail; we should temporarily allow UAC for the installation's sake.

1. In Control Panel click on User Accounts.
2. Click "Turn User Account Control on or off".
3. Check the box to "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your system" and after that click OK.
4. Reboot your system.
5. Now try to install Adobe Reader, you should be successful.

You can turn off User Account Control after you once installed Adobe Reader.

Use compatibility mode to install the application

if you do not want to temporarily re-enable you can configure the installation program to work in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode.
1. After downloading the installation file go to the folder where you have saved the file.
2. Right-click the AdbeRdr80_en_US.exe files and after that selects Properties.
3. Click the Compatibility tab.
4. Under Compatibility Mode, check Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) from the drop-down list.
5. Click Apply, after that click OK to close the Properties window
