Thread: Uninstall problem avast! 4.8

I have a desktop PC and it is been installed with Windows XP operating system. I have installed avast! 4.8 antivirus software for protecting the computer from the viruses and other malware etc. Now I want to remove this antivirus program from my computer. But I am not able to uninstall avast! 4.8 antivirus from the desktop. Please help me to get rid of this problem. Thanks in Advance.

Steps for removing the avast! 4.8 antivirus using the "aswClear" application.
• start Windows in Safe Mode
• Start the "aswClear" program
• browse for the avast antivirus folder in the system
• Click remove
• Reboot system when prompted by the uninstallation process.

You can try to uninstall avast! 4.8 antivirus programs with the help of Windows safe mode. therefore start your machine in the Windows safe mode and try to deleting from your system.
