Hi everyone,
I am having trouble getting my word document formatting right. I've placed several text boxes with pictures and their caption in it. I'm having a hard time trying to get their formatting right.
The problem is twofold:
1 the text boxes ignore my footnotes. they just slide over them when I type text above them, making the footnotes invisible.
2 larger text boxes mess up the document layout. if I move them from their original position, sometimes they jump to another page and, what is the most annoying, where there is normally a paragraph kept together, word divides the paragraph in single lines and distributes them on several pages. Some of the times I end up with 10 pages containing one single line of text (all from the paragraph I originally inserted the text box in) followed by a page with the text box. (After which the text resumes as intended.)
Although I've tried all the options, I cannot find the check box saying something like "If you check this box word will keep successive lines of a paragraph together instead of distributing them as single lines on as many pages as there are lines in the paragraph up to the point you dragged the text box."
Does anyone know what to to do?
Kind regards
