I'm using a Jailbroken iPhone, Any program on the app store or Cydia that will permit you to store your messages onto your pc in text or in excel so as to remove them from the phone and place them on your desktop? Thanks.

Yes, you you can do it without jailbreaking your iPhone. You require DiskAid to access the base folders of iPhone and backup sms.db file from this location : User > Library > SMS > sms.db. Now you will require SQLite Database Browser to open this file. Open the sms.db with SQLite Database Browser and from file menu select Export > Table as CSV. Hope this will solve your problem.
