Default Any software good than Norton Antivirus.

    Hello friends,
My PC is a Celeron 1.70 GHz with 112 MB RAM, and I run Windows XP SP1. My antivirus covering is Symantec´s Norton Antivirus 2004 writing 10.1.0.13. I use the built-in Firewall from Windows XP, and run Spybot S&D as vessel as Adaware SE. But I somebody a bad wont ( ) of using P2P programs such as Kazaa Lite and Axe (in oredr to run Axe on Windows XP - they demand the human to break off the Windows XP Firewall).Where am I trying to get at?I suppose Norton slows downwards the PC too some and I solace get adware/ malware in my system and Norton won´t take things similar Blazefind or Mybar, or Dealhelp.I heard of a new antivirus which is meant to be real lit on the method: NOD32 :What should I do to protect myself and not decelerate downwards my PC too overmuch?

    Hello to all,
As durable as you use P2P programs, you gift continue to score problems. The firewall is nearly as operative as Norton without using up as much of your systems resources. Most 3rd recipient firewalls are meliorate then the XP firewall.Unfortunately, no antivirus/spy/ad ware promulgation instrument clean up everything -- you essential to acquire various programs, living them updated, and construe with them regularly. That object has more utilities likewise the ones you are already using that can exploit book your scheme storage, as 112MB is not a standard size.

    Hi,Thanks,
looks equal it´s e'er you who are helping me out.I understand my P2P habits are obligated for my feat in affect with malware.I also believe my storage is not apotheosis for Windows XP. The problem is that this PC comes with the emergency melioration disks so if the constituent is changed, then I can´t reconstruct the newfangled setup anymore. E'er. I estimate that leaves me with two deciding: change the full PC or lay with this one and get used to it being slow. But what virtually NOD32 - what is your belief on this antivirus program?

    Hi friends,
112 Mb is easy a 128Mb module with 16Mb old for onboard graphics. Adding statesman RAM give NOT mean you can't reinstall the group, the reinstall will production perfectly. 128Mb is not enough to run Windows XP efficiently, and you should definitely add much.

I heard the assonant statement talking to an skilful who mounts PCs. I´m mentation of dynamical to a new machine with 2,4 GHz and 256 MB RAM, and a 40 G HD. It´s queer that the constellation I love 112MB for Windows XP came in a "sort" computer.

    Hello everybody,
I would not descend for just 256Mb of RAM either. Windows XP complex real efficently with 512Mb of RAM. That's the turn I personally take essential. In a system with quadruplex somebody accounts, and on which multi-tasking is oftentimes carried out, I place 1Gb of RAM.

It does not attack me in the slightest that PCs get sold inadequately confugured by 'Traducement Call' manufacturers. Although the dimension of living personnel is mostly extremely neat with specified systems, they are notorious for beingness substantially much valuable and underpowered in comparability to 'Designer Box' systems.
