MOBILITY HAS NOT just gone mainstream, it is now upping its game and going into overdrive. The sheer number of technologies and products announced at this year's Computex IT exhibition (held in Taipei in Taiwan from 3rd -7th June) indicate a boom in mobile computing, the laptop, mini-laptop and small PC market.

And it's not just laptops screens that have shrunk to aid mobility; desktops are following suit, going green, consuming less power and saving desk space. Right from a PC's building blocks - CPUs and chipsets - to ready-to-use finished samples like MSI's Wind PC or Asus' new Eee PC, this year's Computex had it all.
