I have some time ago made for a friend of a corporate website with Joomla web space was rented from a small web hosting company here locally a Main was already there and they wanted me to a specialist at a division site then I'm sure A new date bank created which should be either test hot and into it Joomla, etc. installed. Then, when everything was, I slept through to rename the database, which indeed was not really matter, because apart from me not to work and I, after all, knew what the used is since 2 weeks the site will no longer, because the database is gone have Known by contacted the admin and he said that such databases acquired with the name test when updating from 5.1 to 5.5 are not comfortable with be.

I'm strongly believe that your MySQL updates or automations to never databases, even if they should test or called delete Finishing off a cheap excuse I think.

So please MySQL would never drop a database are the databases yet because the file system in place look in / var / lib / mysql - already rolled the logs and maybe looked PHPmyadmin or CLI with a database does not disappear just so" or not taken over. This is nonsense basically there are already all kinds of backup software, and usually is not a MySQL dump so huge the one can even see by mail can be.
