There are umpteen photo viewing applications available on the Internet. FastStone is one of the better ones. At first glance, its interface, even though skinnable, may not appeal to everyone's taste and it has no option to turn off the skin. The program seems too cluttered but is intuitive enough once you get your bearings.

The image editor isn't the best but you can certainly do quick dirty jobs that don't require a professional Photoshop finish. This decision has helped in keeping the image viewer quick in response unlike bloated programs such as ACDSee. In editor packs a few simple effect filters such as lens, waves, morphs, etc.
