I desired to upgrade my computer processor?

As you have not mentioned your system specification as which system you are using whether its P3 or P4 if you are using P3 the Pentium P4 processor want support that motherboard and you need to purchase a motherboard which supports the P4 processor that will be compatible to run 2.3 GHz or 3.2 GHz P4 processor as the motherboard are designed to fit the particular processor and even compatible with them as the P3 processor where with the pins while the P4 processor are pin less so their CPU socket are different and you cant use the P3 processor in P4 motherboard and the P4 processor cannot be used in the P3 supportable motherboard so before upgrading confirm which type of processor you are using just check it in the by Right clicking on the My Computer and select properties and you will find your entire system hardware information or else just click on the Start Button and select RUN from the Start menu and type dxdiag in the RUN command and by these you will get your entire system hardware as well as software information.
