Thread: Game lag problem

I buyed this computer few years ago but now I have been playing games like Battlefield 2 also it has always ran easily at average resolution as well as settings. The previous few months, every game is unplayable and my computer specifications are as follow:

Pentium 4 3.00
2 GB RAM
Asus P5P800 Motherboard

I first thought the graphics card have departed which was a ATI x800 Pro which is old, so I buyed a AGP ATI 3650. But yet I can’t play any games. I have also tried formatting my operating system what hardware could be causing the problem power supply is 500 w and the CPU overheat?

The CPU fan may be blocked up with dirt which causes the CPU to clog down if it gets too hot. Clean it out as recommended
