Ongoing sequence of CPU cooler reviews, today we tested Thermaltake TMG IA1, which make use of the classical tower design with U-shaped heatpipes, using a picture shape on the heatsink fins. Will this design be translated into superior performance?
TMG IA1 box looks fairly alike BigTyp 14Pro box, with a apparent window that allows you to see portion of the cooler. The cooler is huge as well as bulky. The fins are very hard along with the universal feature is of a very elegant cooler.
TMG IA1 fan has 120 mm in length and is made of crystal clear plastic. In the bottom of the fan there are three blue LEDs. An attractive feature is the fact the fan has no framework, which is not fine in most cases because the airflow tends to spread, but with this cooler this seems to be a good idea because the heatsink fins occupy the fan.
