How to Disable Intel Speed Step EIST in Desktop PC?

I need a little help here how can i disable the EIST in windows xp on desktop computers?

To disable the EIST in Win XP, Follow these steps...

1. Go to Control Panel -> Select Power Options.

2. A properties window appears on the screen Power Options Properties. In that window, under power schemes drop down menu, select Home/ Office Desk. It will automatically disable EIST.
