Thread: Atheros chipset PCMCIA card compat. with linux

I'm planning to get a laptop and run ubuntu on it, but I need a very specific type of wireless card. I'm looking for a PCMCIA form factor, atheros chipset, port for adding an antenna and needs to be compatible with Linux of course. Any pointers in the right direction?

Are you going to hack other peoples wireless?-specific chipset, port for antenna, Linux-sounds like hacking for me.

More than likely he is looking for one that is easily integrated with Linux.

I on the other hand am working on Pin testing of a lab i have set up with various equipment using BackTrack 4 which is more or less iffy when it comes to fully supporting my WiFi antenna so i too am looking for a good PCMCIA card.
