Default 92mm fans not working properly

I have 5 fans in my system.
2 x 80mm in the PSU(checked reviews, very quite PSU)
1 HD 4850 ICE q4 RUNING at ~500 rpm on idle
and 2 more 92mm fans running 1 for cpu and the other one as an exhaust fan in the back of the inspiron 530 case. one of them is driving me crazy, one is running at ~1000 rpm and the other one is running at ~1600 rpm and both are on idle!!
Is there a way to fix it? A way to check which fan is causing all this loud humming noise?

The warranty expired so no dell help here.

When im just browsing the net at night and that humming noise is the only thing thats making a noise, it just drive me crazy. i already took the fans out and cleaned them, so dust isn’t causing the issue.

Can you tell me how can i check and speed fan doesn’t control my fans AT ALL!

Run the system without the exhaust fan to find out which fan is making the noise, then replace that fan with a bigger one (the bigger the fan, the less rpm it needs to displace a certain amount of air, hence less noise).

Once you figure out which fan is making so much noise u can oil it up, to fix it.
To do that, take it out, on one side there will be a sticker of some sort, "Brand name" or something. Peel it off carefully, and save that sticker. Then some motors have a rubber seal, and some don’t if u have some 3in1 oil, or similar motor oil. (i think its 20 weight) u want it to be some what thin oil not thick and just a drop of oil in the motor, and move it around and up and down, to get the oil down in the shaft

now if it does not want to get in the shaft u can take the motor apart. There is a white plastic washer that is cut on one side; this will pop out, with small tools, like tweasers and screw driver, and such. (But be careful, it can crack and break.) If this can be removed, the fan will come out of shaft and then put oil on the other side, where the oil could not reach too then put back to gather put sticker back on and fire it up this should fix it.

I’ve owned 80mm fans for 18 years, and been oiling them up, and never had a fan go bad. (As lone as, every 2 years, it’s taken care of).

    Good luck.
