CPU Usage

I have lately encountered this difficulty that the CPU practice of my system readily reaches 100% even when I run softwares that are not CPU overriding at all. For example, when I play video files (with any player) that I used to look at without any difficulty, the CPU usage reaches 100% and image delays the sound. I have installed it again the windows (formatting the C partition) but didn't work. Please tell me, what is the problem?

Did you again set up the driver of your video card after another time installing windows? Also, did you shift from XP to Vista with only a singlecore CPU?I consider it is System specs?Yeah, can you give more data?

Yes, I have installed again my video card and I have again installed windows XP, not Vista. My system data information are as follows:

Processor: Intel Pentium 4 3.00GHz

Motherboard: Gigabyte 945PLM-S2

Video Card: WinFast PX7100 GS (NVIDIA)

There something that’s causing it but I can’t shape out what is.Pretty feeble setup, but it did work previous to.Be you experiencing troubles with video only or also when, say browsing the web?

I have difficulty about both with video and also other actions like browsing web. I doubt the problem is with the hardware (CPU, Motherboard...) or there are some worms or viruses?
